Abstract

|
This Study analyzes expenditures on children and public transfer benefits from childcare polices of different levels of income families using the Korean Welfare Panel Data. In the expenditure part, we show how the amounts and the ratio of total expenditures on children as well as childcare and education costs has changed. In the benefits part, we classify childcare policies into cash, service, and tax benefits, and analyze in which ways each benefit has been allocated by income levels. Finally, we show how much public transfer benefits support expenditures of families which rear children.
